Hello, my name is Jake Rader, and I am a Senior digital content creator at Cabrini University, studying Communications.

I am interested in entering various fields, with a focus in News Broadcasting, and Video Creation as my focus

Before my time at Cabrini, I interned for a sports media company, Branded Sports during the Spring/Summer of 2020. During my stint at the company, I was tasked with writing weekly blog posts, along with running the companies Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok account. When my internship ended, I had grown their social channels by nearly 15,000 new followers. I also recorded, and edited own fantasy football podcast, The Nest Football Show which I did weekly show highlighting the best players in the NFL. I would film, and edit videos promoting my podcast, and the other podcasts my company had to offer.

In addition, I took part in a journalism class at Delaware County Community College, which prepared me for my digital communication major as Journalism is a core requirement at Cabrini.

During my last two last two years at Cabrini, I have been involved with the award winning, student-run newspaper, The Loquitur. During my Senior year, I was elevated to the role of News Editor, with the responsibility of editing their work, and preparing students to take on the role of editor the following year. While writing for the Loquitur, I have covered and written articles about important topics, such as Human Trafficking, and Domestic Violence. Additionally, due to my high level of work, I have been asked to stay on with The Loquitur as Perspectives Editor for the 2024 school year.

My senior year has also seen me become involved with Cabrini Universities House 67 productions, with the role of on-air talent. House 67 productions is a student managed video production agency that creates studio content about the happenings of the Cabrini Community. This role has helped me continue to develop my hosting, and script writing skills.

In addition, I am proficient in the video editing softwares, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Audition due to instruction that I have received at Cabrini. During my time at Cabrini I have made two short films, one being about finding love after football, and the other relating to solutions for firearm violence.

I have also done play by play commentary for Cabrini sporting events, further enhancing my on-air skills.
